3 Chord Rodeo is an Austin dance band with deep roots in classic country music from the '60s through the '90s and beyond! The band members are all veterans of the Austin, Nashville and California music scenes. We perform regularly on the dance hall and club circuit of Central and South Texas including venues like The Broken Spoke, ABGB, Mercer Dancehall, Bangers Sausage House and Beer Garden, The Little Longhorn Saloon, The Watering Hole Saloon in New Braunfels,  Kendalia Halle, Tom Sefcik Hall in Temple and the Cotton Country Club in Granger. We also stay busy performing at weddings, private parties and corporate events, and can provide references upon request. With an upbeat playlist and a dynamic stage presence, 3 Chord Rodeo delivers a good time EVERY time!

The band was created in 2010 by friends and native Austinites Bobby Dabbs on guitar and Greg Scarborough on bass and lead vocals. California native Lauren Ellis (pedal steel, lead guitar and vocals) joined the band shortly after moving to Austin from Nashville, where she toured with Rita Coolidge, Rosie Flores, Rick Trevino and former Monkee Peter Tork. Some of the very best drummers in Texas including Pat Kennedy, Dave Sanger of Asleep at the Wheel, and Mo Roberts of the Marcia Ball Band keep the party going and the dancefloor full!
